Shoes Care Instruction
A guide on how to take care of your shoes
To ensure your pair of Clergerie shoes stay in good condition, we recommend that you take care of your shoes following the instructions below.
Make sure to store your shoes in their dust bag to protect them. If you are unsure of the type of leather or material used for your shoes, please refer to the sticker on your shoe box.
Smooth calfskin or lambskin leather:
1) First, clean your shoe with a slightly dampened sponge to remove dirt and dust.
2) Gently scrub your shoe with a woollen cloth.
3) Nourish your shoe with colourless wax or shoepolish cream.
You can clean white lambskin leather with soapy water.
Smooth goatskin suede leather:
1) Clean your shoe’s surface area with a crepe brush.
2) Apply a layer of colourless water-proofing spray.
Printed leather:
1) Clean your shoe with a slightly dampened cottoncloth.
2) Carefully scrub your shoe with a flexible brush.
Raffia:
1) Clean your shoe with a slightly dampened cottoncloth.
2) Gently scrub your shoe with a flexible brush.
Fabric:
1) Clean your shoe with a slightly dampened cottoncloth.
2) Gently scrub your shoe with a flexible brush.
Micro Block:
We recommend that you clean your Clergerie Micro Blocks with a magic sponge and soapy water. You may also clean them using natural-coloured sandpaper, by very carefully scrubbing the stain to not damage the sole.
We advise against the use of red or black sandpaper, which may discolour the sole.
White latex block:
Scrub the sole gently with a slightly dampened magicsponge and soapy water.
