To design his debut collection for Clergerie, Artistic Director David Tourniaire-Beauciel tapped into his passion for music and his idols of the Eighties and Nineties.
Hints to the esthetic of the artists of those decades find their way into the collection through volumes, colors and materials.
New, outstanding sculptural heels and platforms are the highlights of the FW18 collection: a curved, metallic heel is reinterpreted from the archives, an optical illusion heel is created through contrasting leathers and shiny metal and a feminine and sophisticated one, the lipstick heel.
Once again, Clergerie’s signature raffia is reinterpreted in a contemporary way, with a mix of archive pieces and new styles. The Aude – inspired by the archive Bangkok sandal – or the Vittoria – on the signature Teardrop heel
Pop, rock and electro references are again the inspiration for chunky platform boots and spectator monk straps, silver ankle boots and mules, a new micro platform embellished with metallic eyelids and a tweed covered platform ankle boot in black and white.
Clergerie’s shoemaking heritage finds a new twist with new sporty platforms and the stacked leather articulated sole. True to Clergerie’s constant dialogue between masculine and feminine, crafted in high end vegetable-tanned leather, soft felt or shiny specchio leather.
A selection of styles is available on our ecommerce, the full collection is available in our stores.
